This is so very exciting! I’m so thrilled that Funk Jazz Kafe is so well received and making its way across the country. Everyone will have a chance to witness a phenomenal experience that was exposed to so many in Atlanta during the last decade. I’m glad that I had the priviledge of being a part of this wonderful movement. Great job!

[...] Film festival responses are coming in and we’re proud to say that our highly anticipated movie, “FunkJazz Kafé: Diary Of A Decade (The Story Of A Movement)” has been selected for the 2012 Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA. We will be screening the movie at Rave Cinemas 15 at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza on February 17, 2012 (subject to change). The PAFF is February 9-20, 2012. More info to come. We may even have a panel of the cast following the screening just as we did at the sneak preview screening during this years National Black Arts Festival (SEE IT HERE). [...]

I was spell bound while and after viewing this film. This film should be shown at every university and college in this country. Especially at the hbcu’s.The young people have to know about this movement. Man!! I could write a book about the impact of a forward thinking mind.

I have missed the live performances due to me not living in Atlanta at the time. But I have been aware of the movement the entire time. Watching the movie last nite was awesome. I felt like I was there and dang I missed that all at the same time. Bring back the movement show the world what they are missing. Thank You for all that you have done. And Jason Orr great job and it was truly a pleasure to meet you last night.
